Biography

Marvell was a servant at Loch Laggan covert when Capt. William Laurence was stationed there for training shortly after Temeraire's hatching.

Ezekiah Martin told Capt. Laurence that Marvell would usually do the work that the officers asked him to do, but that he would moan dreadfully about being assigned the work.

Presumably, like his coworker Tolly, Marvell's duties included washing linens and serving food to the officers at the covert.
